Originally from India, Indu has lived in Sackville, New Brunswick since 1969. She has had a successful teaching career of 37 years during which she received various prestigious awards for excellence and innovation in teaching, such as, Governor General’s Award for excellence in teaching Canadian history, Marshal McLuhan distinguished teacher award etc. She was the president of New Brunswick Teachers’ Association during the last two years of her teaching career.


Following this illustrious teaching career, Indu pursued her keen interest in visual arts at the Université de Moncton (U de M). During the course of her studies at U de M she received merit scholarships. A graduate of the visual arts program of U de M, Indu now proudly presents her works in printmaking and ceramics.
