"This piece is made up of two parts. The left canvas displays a figure who appears stable and grounded; literally merging with the floor beneath him. On the right canvas, the left figure is composed of several faces as though she is unsure which one she might have to wear next. The figure on the far right represents a gendre duality; male and female. This painting was created when I longed for emotional stability and centeredness. In retrospect, I see how I've oscillated between the tree figures at different times in my life (not literally, of course)."
