Technology in the landscape signals the tension between beauty and decline. 

My work explores the complex relationship between the man-made and the organic within built and natural environments. Using a combination of natural and synthetic materials, my low relief panels and paintings represent a metaphor for the hybrid quality of the natural world. I question our concept of wilderness and reveal the anxiety the flux between nature and culture. My process focuses on the materiality of the art object itself. The Japanese notion of wabi creates harmony between disparate elements.

La technologie dans le paysage signale la tension entre la beauté et le déclin. 

Mes œuvres explorent la relation complexe entre l'artificiel et l'organique dans les environnements construits et naturels. Mes panneaux à bas reliefs et mes peintures présentent une métaphore pour la qualité hybride du monde naturel. Je questionne notre concept de terrain sauvage et révèle les fluxes entre la nature et la culture. Ma démarche artistique met l'emphase sur la matérialité de l'objet d'art. La notion japonaise de wabi crée une harmonie entre les éléments disparates.
